The Dutch government said on Sunday that it had taken the "highly exceptional" decision to intervene at Chinese-owned chipmaker Nexperia over a potential "risk to Dutch and European economic security".
The Netherlands-based firm's owner Wingtech said on Monday that it will take actions to protect its rights and will seek government support.
The Dutch government said its economic affairs ministry had invoked its Goods Availability Act over "acute signals of serious governance shortcomings" within Nexperia.
The law is designed to allow the Hague to intervene in companies under exceptional circumstances. These include threats to the country's economic security and to ensure the supply of critical goods.
Nexperia makes semiconductors used in cars and consumer electronics.

President Andry Rajoelina has fled the country after the army sided with mass protests.
According to Reuters, he departed on a French military aircraft after the elite CAPSAT unit and parts of the gendarmerie joined the demonstrators.
The day before, Rajoelina flew by helicopter to Saint Marie Island on Madagascar’s east coast, then boarded a plane to the French island of Réunion in the Indian Ocean, from where he and his family reportedly flew on to Mauritius or the UAE.
Radio RFI, citing informed sources, reported that the evacuation of the Malagasy president was authorized by French leader Emmanuel Macron to ensure a peaceful transition.
The protests began on September 25 over water and electricity shortages but quickly escalated into an uprising against corruption and poverty. Rajoelina, who came to power after the 2009 coup, had rapidly lost the support of the security forces in recent weeks.
The likely interim leader of Madagascar will be Major General Demosphen Picolas, commander of the elite CAPSAT unit.

⭕️ OPEC says global oil supply to match demand in 2026 as output rises
Global oil supply is projected to align closely with demand next year as the broader OPEC+ alliance boosts production, according to an OPEC report released today. The new assessment marks a shift from last month’s forecast, which anticipated a supply deficit in 2026.
In its monthly report, OPEC noted that the global economy continues to perform strongly and kept its forecasts unchanged for oil demand growth, up by 1.3 million barrels per day in 2025, with a slightly faster rise expected in 2026.
"The robust global economic dynamics seen in the third quarter of 2025, coupled with upward revisions to second-quarter 2025 growth in the US and Japan, as well as strong data from India and China, reinforce a stable global growth outlook," OPEC said.

Erdogan has one of the most powerful armies in the world. He is much more powerful than he lets known.
He won many conflicts but he does not want any credit. He wants to be left alone.
He’s a tough cookie, but he’s my friend and always there when I need him.
When NATO has issues with him, they call me. I speak to Erdogan, and he never fails. He’s amazing. Thank you for the friendship.
