According to PhoneArena, a system application called AppCloud was discovered on Samsung smartphones. It was developed by the Israeli company IronSource, which later became part of the American company Unity. Officially, IronSource is a platform for mobile app monetization and marketing. Unofficially, however, it serves as a backdoor for user tracking.

The utility has access to sensitive biometric information, IP addresses, and geolocation, and does not require user confirmation. It is impossible to completely remove the application; after uninstallation, it reinstalls itself with the first system update.
