DOGE was established in January by President Trump to reduce the size of federal agencies, cut their budgets, or redirect their work to different priorities. The agency still had eight months left on its mandate.

When asked about DOGE, Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor said, "That doesn't exist."
