🇺🇸❌🇾🇪📱❗️ BREAKING: The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg just released the entire "Houthi PC small group" Signal chat which shows who was in the group and their direct discussions of operations against the Houthis (Ansarallah) in Yemen.

➡️ In the chat, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is seen discussing specific strikes on Houthi targets, providing timestamps for when different elements of the operation would be initiated and launched. At one point, he reassures the group by stating, "We are currently clean on OPSEC."

➡️ National Security Advisor Mike Waltz sent messages mentioning the collapse of a building and the positive identification of a top Houthi missile target, who was seen "entering his girlfriend's building" before it collapsed.

➡️ 19 Trump administration officials were in the Signal group chat when Goldberg was added, but none seemed to notice.

➡️ Jeffrey Goldberg himself expressed confusion over how he was mistakenly added to the chat, unable to clarify how he ended up in the conversation.

🇪🇺🇺🇦 Despite resistance from Belgium, president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, still intends to go ahead and seize Russia's assets and use them as backstop to guarantee a 210 billion € loan

Her new plan is based on a reinterpretation of article 122 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union which says that the European Council at the proposal of the European Commission, can grant financial assistance to a member state, key emphasis on member state, if the state in question is faced with exceptional circumstances which threaten its stability that are outside of its control.

Von der Leyen and other EU Commissioners reinterpret this article as allowing them to give free money out of the pockets of the EU to Ukraine, despite Ukraine not fulfilling a key condition: being a member of the EU.

This new plan has already been criticised by the Belgians who viewed it as a poor attempt to go around their veto power and also because the plan is illegal as in it genuinely is contradictory to the founding treaties of the EU.
