#BREAKING | Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum to Meet U.S. President Trump in Washington on Friday

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced Thursday she will travel to Washington for the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw and hold a brief meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, marking their first face-to-face encounter. She will also meet Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney amid preparations for the USMCA review and ongoing North American trade discussions.

🇨🇳 🇹🇼 🚢 China is deploying a large number of naval and coast guard vessels across East Asian waters, at one point more than 100, in the largest maritime show of force to date, according to four sources and intelligence reports reviewed by Reuters.

🔶️ Tsai Ming-yen, director-general of Taiwan's National Security Bureau, said on Wednesday that China is now in what is generally the most active season for its military drills

🔶️ Together with warplanes, some of the Chinese vessels in the area have carried out mock attacks on foreign ships. They have also practiced access-denial operations aimed at preventing outside forces from sending reinforcements in the event of a conflict, the source said.

🔶️ Two other sources said countries in the region are tracking the development closely, but added they so far do not think the deployment carries significant risks.

🇫🇷 Overnight on Thursday, at around 7:30pm, the French Navy opened fire on a swarm of five drones spotted flying over the Île Longue Strategic Submarine Base in Finistère on the coast of Brittany, which houses France’s fleet of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines operating as a part of the Force de dissuasion under the Strategic Ocean Force. Whether any of the drones were actually shot down is currently unknown, according to the Agence France-Presse (AFP).

- 3 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles targeted the Khmelnytskyy region

- 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles struck the north of Kyiv, probably the HPP in Vyshhorod

- 4-5 Iskander-M ballistic missiles struck the Zelenodolsk CHP in Krivoy Rog

- 3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles struck the TPP in Dnipro city

- 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile struck the area of the substation in Mishchanka, Odessa oblast

According to updated information, a total of 9 (!) Tu-95MS strategic bombers are airborne and are either circling near the launch lines or flying to them.

3 Tu-160s are also flying to the launch lines.

This means that a MAXIMUM of 108 Kh-101 cruise missiles can be used (the actual number of launches will be smaller).

This will likely be the largest missile attack of 2025.
