was compromised and we have completed a preliminary investigation. Based on our investigation, the compromise was not due to any breach of X’s systems, but rather due to an unidentified individual obtaining control over a phone number associated with the @SECGov
account through a third party. We can also confirm that the account did not have two-factor authentication enabled at the time the account was compromised.

📹 — On January 6, 2024 AD, a few thousands of Israeli citizens staged a protest in Tel Aviv against the Right-wing Government of Benjamin Netanyahu, calling for his resignation and an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to allow the release of hostages

Notably, many of the protesters were supporters of the Israeli Left, which was heavily sidelined in the last elections, and of the liberal secular opposition that uses those kidnapped in Gaza as a political platform to protest Netanyahu and his government.

As expected, security forces crackdowned on the protesters and arrested some.
