Greenland’s prime minister said the Arctic island’s population and its authorities need to start preparing for a possible military invasion, even as it remains an unlikely scenario, as President Donald Trump continues to threaten taking over the territory.

“It’s not likely there will be a military conflict, but it can’t be ruled out,” Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen said at a press conference in capital Nuuk on Tuesday.

🇺🇸 US 30 Year Treasury yields head towards 5%, as a Danish pension fund promises to dump treasuries.

The fund, which manages approximately $25 billion for Danish academics and teachers, confirmed the move.

CIO Anders Schelde stated that the U.S. is:

"basically not a good credit" and that government finances are no longer sustainable in the long term.

It is thought Trump may struggle to balance his objectives of getting the US housing market moving, rebalancing global trade, and managing a trade war with the EU.
