🇺🇸🇰🇷 South Korean medias now say that the U.S. relocated ALL THAAD batteries in the country to CENTCOM.

Korean journalists took a picture of American troops dismantling a THAAD system and preparing it for relocation.

Last weekend, dozens of cargo flights, including the massive Lockheed C-5 Galaxy, took off from ROK airports heading for the Middle East.

MIM-104 Patriot systems are expected to be removed as well from the country.

📝Christopher Hooks: Pete Hegseth told me the IRGC keeps destroying his THAADs so I asked how many THAADs he has and he said he just goes to a different theater and gets a new THAAD afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s just feeding THAADs to the IRGC and then the joint chiefs started crying

🇷🇴🤝🇺🇸 Romania has approved the deployment of additional American troops and equipment to the country.

Romanian president, Nicușor Dan, didn’t go too much into detail about the force that is going to be deployed but he did mention that several air tankers will be deployed among other things.

Flightradar24 data showed an exodus of KC-135R Stratotankers from the Middle East a few days ago, showing that the U.S. is indeed pulling back some assets away from Iranian missiles and drones.

🇷🇺🇮🇷🇺🇸⚡️ — A Western intelligence official told CNN that Russia is now providing Iran with more detailed support on drone warfare, sharing tactics developed during its war in Ukraine to help target U.S. and Gulf state assets in the Middle East.

➡️ The assistance includes operational strategies for Shahed drones, originally designed by Iran but mass-produced by Russia, which have proven effective at penetrating Gulf air defenses.

➡️ While Moscow had previously offered more general intelligence support, officials say the cooperation now includes specific guidance on drone targeting and attack methods, such as launching drones in coordinated waves and altering flight paths to evade air defenses.

🇮🇷🇺🇸🇮🇱 Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and de-facto ruler of Iran, Ali Larijani:

“Through Omani mediators, we received messages from the U.S. president requesting negotiations on a ceasefire. Our response is this: we will not agree to any negotiations as long as there exists an entity called Israel.”

🛢 Oil prices swing wildly amid mixed messages over Iran war

Crude oil prices fall sharply as energy markets remain on tenterhooks over effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil prices are seeing dramatic swings as traders struggle to make sense of mixed messages about the impact of the United States and Israel’s war on Iran.

Brent crude, the international benchmark, on Tuesday plunged 17 percent to fall below $80 a barrel, then rebounded to near $90 after US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright posted on the X platform – but then quickly deleted – a claim that the US Navy had escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt later told reporters that there had been no armed escort through the strait, which has been effectively closed to shipping in the region due to Iranian threats.

🏭 Top export passing thru Strait of Hormuz aside from oil/gas are chemicals like Sulfur, Urea & Ammonia.

A Look at top global producers of the 3 would show China is the big winner in absence of Gulf export. It produced 27% of global Sulfur, 48% of Urea & 43% of Ammonia.

China is the swing producer for all these chemicals. It is in fact the swing producer for most chemical product.

w/o competition from Gulf countries (which have access to the cheapest hydrocarbon), China & Russia are probably the cheapest producers.

So aside from solar & wind, China also benefits in global trade from less refined petroleum products.

🏭 Impact of Sulfur supply interruption will hit Sulfuric Acid production, which is needed for phosphate (fertilizer & LFP battery), chemicals, metal processing (leaching for Cu, Ni, Co, U, Zn, Fe & Ag), refining & more.

Most common use of sulfur is fertilizers. Sulfur is needed to produce Sulfuric Acid. Sulfuric Acid + Phosphate rock is need to produce phosphoric Acid. Which is the main feedstock for several types of phosphate fertilizers. Phosphate demand recently have jumped due to LFP batteries.

China is the world's largest sulfur producer, consumer & importer. It imported 9.6 mt (45% of its demand) in 2025 while produced ~11.9 mt. It has 18 mt capacity (8mt+ @ Sinopec), so could increase utilization to meet more demand. In 2025, ~4mt imported from UAE, Saudi, Qatar & Kuwait, countries affected by Gulf of Hormuz closure.

In 2024, China was world's largest Sulfuric Acid exporter (due to this huge supply of Sulfur & domestic capacity), followed by Canada, Japan & South Korea.

Top importers are Chile, US, Morocco, India & Kazakhstan, needed for farming/phosphate + mining of Cu, Li & Uranium.

Note China is almost half of global demand. Again, countries w/ large phosphate, farming, chemical & mining industry are high on this list. 52% of demand is fertilizers in 2024 & 18% in metal processing.

Sulfur is import for Sulfuric Acid, which is important for agriculture + many basic materials.

China not getting enough Sulfur would be a huge global problem for farming, energy transition & metal industry. I think it can increase domestic utilization to compensate, but watch out for downstream effects if this blockade lasts for a while.

🇮🇷⚔️🇺🇸 An Iranian drone attack in Kuwait that killed U.S. service members in the early hours of the war with Iran was more severe than previously known, with dozens suffering injuries that included brain trauma, shrapnel trauma and burns, per sources.

More than 30 remained in hospitals yesterday with battle injuries — one at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, 12 at Walter Reed, and about 25 at Landstuhl in Germany, sources said.

Of those, about 20 arrived on a C-17 military transport aircraft at Landstuhl on Tuesday with injuries the military designated as “urgent” and requiring evacuation.

More than 100 medical personnel were sent to Landstuhl to assist.

🇷🇺🤝🇮🇷 Russia is helping Iran with advanced drone tactics from its war in Ukraine to hit US and Gulf nation targets in the Middle East, according to a Western intelligence official.

Shahed drones, designed by Iran but mass produced by Moscow for use in Ukraine, have been successful in penetrating the air defenses of Gulf nations. Russian intelligence sharing with Iran has until now been reported as general assistance with targeting, but specific tactical advice is a new level of support.

“What was more general support is now getting more concerning, including UAS [drone] targeting strategies that Russia employed in Ukraine,” said the official.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X Wednesday that “Russia has started supporting the Iranian regime with drones. It will definitely help with missiles, and it is also helping them with air defense.” Kyiv has sent drone interception experts to the Gulf region, to share Ukrainian expertise in stopping the relatively cheap Shaheds, which can cost $30,000. Ukraine has developed tiny interceptors which cost about $5,000 each and can be produced rapidly.

The Western official said that China’s support for Iran was “concerning,” but declined to provide details.

🇮🇷⚔️🇮🇱 After 11-days of fighting, the Israel Tax Authority has received 9,115 claims for missile damage, including 6,586 for damage to buildings, 1,044 for damage to contents and equipment, and 1,485 for damage to vehicles.

The difference between the extent of damage in the current round of fighting and the war last June is clearly evident. The number of claims after 11 days of fighting was similar to that recorded by the second day of the war last June.

At that time, nearly 10,000 claims were filed with the Tax Authority's compensation fund for property damage. On the fourth day, the number of claims almost doubled, reaching 18,800. By the end of the 12-day round of fighting, 53,409 claims were filed for direct damage, and compensation with NIS 2.9 billion paid out for direct damage.

The data show that, in relation to last year's fighting, Iran has been firing less missiles but concentrating its efforts on central Israel. According to the Institute for National Security Studies, while in June Iran launched about 1,600 missiles and drones, the number in this round of fighting so far is less than 600.

However, in the current operation the number of alerts has increased significantly. If in June the number of alerts was about 20,000 for missiles fired and infiltration of drones, today this figure has already reached about 42,000.
