Argentina's Security Minister Patricia Bullrich told El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele Friday in Washington DC at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) summit that “we want to follow the model you are carrying out” to tackle crime.

Bullrich praised Bukele for lowering “crime as you have done and still endure criticism when you have saved millions and millions of lives.”

The bilateral meeting is expected to take place in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, in the Caribbean, where the 8th Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) will be held.

🇬🇾 Among the topics to be discussed by Maduro and Lula are expected to be the upcoming Venezuelan presidential elections and the dispute over the Essequibo region.

➡️ The leftist leader's new official trip will begin this Wednesday (28) in Georgetown, the capital of Guyana, where he will participate in the closing of the 46th Summit of the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM). The meeting with Maduro has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to take place on the first day of the CELAC, on Friday (March 1).

🇨🇺🥪⚠️ — Cuba in crisis: the Cuban regime announced that it will not be able to guarantee the supply of subsidized bread in the basic food basket in the coming days due to the shortage of wheat flour the country is currently facing.

➡️ The island depends on importing about 80% of the food it consumes and is currently experiencing difficulties in receiving imported wheat shipments. The communist regime blames embargoes for this problem, even though the American embargo does not interfere with foreign trade.

🔽 According to the Ministry of Food Industry of the communist regime (Minal), only one of the country's five wheat processors is currently operational, producing only 250 tons of flour per day, well below the 20,000 monthly tons needed to produce the bread distributed in the subsidized basic basket.

The bread crisis adds to the severe shortage of food and medicines affecting Cuba at the moment, as well as frequent power cuts, rampant inflation, and partial dollarization of the economy. These problems are the result of the economic and monetary policies adopted by the communist regime of Miguel Díaz-Canel.
