🔶️ “This decision will remain in effect until Israel, within the framework of its obligations arising from international law, declares an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and allows a sufficient and uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip,” the ministry said.
🔶️ Along with the United Arab Emirates, Turkey is the biggest donor of aid to Gaza, according to Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.

Due to both the drought and unwillingness by local authorities, American ships find themselves waiting at the back of the line to cross, despite the canal being as American as the Hoover Dam. This inheritance from Teddy Roosevelt was discarded for nothing in return despite being a top strategic asset in WWII. Americans died building something that was an extreme positive for US prosperity and freedom of movement.

In fact, it’s exactly the sort of no-holds-barred crimefighting they expect and voted for.

🔶️ “President Noboa has given a strong message to the nation,” said Carlos Galecio, a political communications consultant and coordinator of the communications program at Ecuador’s Casa Grande University. “(It’s) a very powerful image boost.”
🔶️ Noboa has responded by promising more equipment for police and the armed forces and the construction of prisons similar to those President Nayib Bukele built in El Salvador, with high-security, maximum-security and supermax units. He also issued a decree labeling more than 20 criminal groups as terrorist organizations and scheduled an April referendum to ask voters to extend the powers of the military to patrol the streets and control prisons.
