Once again, Apple shot itself in the foot with its centralized “walled garden” app policies. As a result of this change, the iPhone market share in China will keep shrinking. Prioritizing profits over freedom for users is not a good long-term strategy

"Russia is increasingly militarizing the Kaliningrad region. It recently placed its nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. If our allies decide to deploy nuclear weapons as part of the joint use of nuclear weapons also on our territory to strengthen the security of NATO's eastern flank, we are ready for it," Andrzej Duda told Fakt.
According to him, the deployment of US nuclear weapons in Poland "has been a topic of negotiations" with the United States for some time now.

Söder has made a policy U-turn on the issue. In 2007, he called for a ban on combustion engines from 2020, saying: "Green engines create new jobs."
A recent poll has shown 61% of German opposed to the 2035 ban with just 24% in favour.
EU member states and the European Parliament passed the measure banning CO2 emissions from new cars from 2035 a year ago.

🇨🇳 China is stockpiling everything from Copper to Oil to Nickel to Iron Ore.
That's what you do AHEAD of a currency devaluation.
China is preparing something major.

🇨🇳 The Chinese Oil reserves are almost 2x those of the US
They obviously need larger reserves as a smaller producer, but why is China stockpiling to this extent?

🇺🇸🇿🇦 🇨🇳 The rare earths mine becoming a bellwether for US minerals policy
🔶️ Future of South Africa’s Phalaborwa site may depend on strength of Washington’s support
🔶️ A site close to Kruger National Park in South Africa is becoming a testing ground for US attempts to fight China’s global dominance in critical minerals.
🔶️ Washington has committed to finance a little-known London-listed miner hoping to extract rare earths — a set of 17 minerals key to clean energy technologies — from the chalky stacks outside the safari park, as the US seeks to challenge China’s runaway lead in accessing the metals globally.
🔶️ For the White House, tackling Chinese dominance is a strategic priority: China is home to 70 per cent of rare earths mining and 90 per cent of processing capacity, according to the International Energy Agency.

🚢 🇾🇪 🌍 Suez Canal blockade remains in effect.
🔶️ The US Navy is still issuing combat medals in the Red Sea, the majority of Suez Traffic is still diverted (through which passes 12% of *total* global trade), and that this is all helping inflation to rise.
🔶️ LNG shipments through the canal have dropped to zero. Qatar provides 13% of Europe's LNG, and the fastest route is through the canal. Ironically, this might mean Russia captures more of the European LNG market.

“Are you ready to choose freedom over democracy? Because that’s America!” Biden shouted.
As expected, this caused a controvery on social media, as once again, Republicans, Libertarians and Trumpists perceived it as a threat by the Democrat President against individual and political freedoms in United States and considered such as a taunt for civil war in America.

✅ JPMorgan Urges 'Reality Check' on Fossil Fuel Divestment
The green agenda faces challenges, as JPMorgan calls for a sober assessment of fossil fuel divestment, warning that achieving net zero emissions could take "generations."
In its recent global energy strategy report distributed to clients, the bank highlights that efforts to diminish coal, oil, and gas usage have been hindered by factors such as rising interest rates, inflation, and conflicts in regions like Ukraine and the Middle East. JPMorgan notes, "...The variables have changed...Interest rates are much higher. Public debt is much higher and the geopolitical landscape is structurally different. The $3 trillion to $4 trillion that this will cost each year comes from a different macroeconomic environment."
The substantial investment needed may compel governments to reconsider more aggressive energy policies.
This assessment follows announcements from Shell and BP, who reduced their climate targets this year, along with criticism directed at numerous companies, including Microsoft, Unilever, and JBS, for failing to establish Science Based Targets Initiative-endorsed goals deemed "sufficiently ambitious."
Additionally, JPMorgan's analysts cast doubt on the International Energy Agency's prediction that oil and gas demand will peak in 2030.
