➡️ The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party is officially suspected of extremism, a German court has ruled.

➡️ The move, which upholds a lower-court ruling the party had challenged, means intelligence services can continue to monitor AfD activities and communications.

➡️ The party was founded in 2013 as a Eurosceptic group objecting to German-backed EU bailouts for southern Europe.

➡️ Because of Germany's experience of dictatorship and oppression in the 20th Century, there are high legal hurdles to state surveillance of any political party.

➡️ But on Monday the court in Münster ruled that there was reason to believe that "at least a significant part of the AfD" aimed to "grant German citizens with a migration background only a legally devalued status".

🇪🇺🚀📹 — The European Space Agency (ESA) is preparing for the launch of the Ariane 6 launch vehicle

➡️ Arianespace's new rocket was initially scheduled to launch in 2020, but due to technical problems the first flight date kept slipping, which, coupled with the end of Ariane 5 rocket operation in 2023, created a space launch crisis in Europe and forced ESA to use the services of SpaceX for its key launches.

🇬🇫 The Ariane 6 prototype arrived at the French Guyana space center back in February of this year, where it continues its preparations for the first flight, which should take place in June-July.

➡️ Compared to its predecessor Ariane 5, the new rocket will be more powerful and cheaper.

➡️ The cost of launching missions with Ariane 6 is estimated to be half that of similar missions using Ariane 5.

➡️ The new rocket will be supplied in two versions:

🔴A62 is a light rocket equipped with two solid propellant boosters and is designed to launch two small satellites: communications devices, television broadcasting, and Internet access. Capable of transporting up to 5 tons to GPO and 10.35 tons to LEO;

🔴 A64 is a heavy version of the rocket, equipped with four accelerators, and will be used to launch large scientific and military satellites and various types of spacecraft into orbit. Capable of transporting up to 11.5 tons to GPO and 21.5 tons to LEO.

🚀 It is also worth noting that Ariane 6 is not reusable, which makes it a weak competitor to the Falcon-9 in the commercial market.

➡️ The reason for this decision is that the development of the rocket began long before the success of SpaceX's reusable rockets.
