🇻🇪💥 — Protests erupt in the Niño Jesús neighborhood of Catia, in western Caracas, against Maduro's proclamation by the chavismo.

🇺🇸📈‼️ U.S. national debt breaks $35 trillion.

Since January 2020 the debt has ballooned by 50% from $23 trillion to $35 trillion.

Interest on the debt is also skyrocketed with higher rates, averaging around 5% lately.

Interest on the debt is on pace for $1.5 trillion next year, about 30% of all govt revenue collected.

By mid to late 2026 we will have $40 trillion in national debt for the US govt.

At 5% rates, that will be about $2 trillion per year in interest payments.

The US govt collects about $5 trillion per year in revenue from all sources. So about 40% of govt rev will go to interest.
