➡️ South Korea's national security adviser Shin Won-sik said Russia has provided North Korea with anti-air missiles and air defence equipment in return for sending troops to support Moscow in its war against Ukraine.

➡️ In an interview with South Korean broadcaster SBS aired on Friday, Shin said Russia had given North Korea economic and military technology support, when asked what Pyongyang stood to gain from dispatching its troops to Russia.

"It is understood that North Korea has been provided with related equipment and anti-aircraft missiles to strengthen Pyongyang's weak air defence system," Shin said.

➡️ Pyongyang also appears to have been given military technology by Russia to support its satellite program following its failed attempt to launch a spy satellite earlier this year, he said.

🔒 Netanyahu and Gallant are at risk of arrest if they travel to any of the 124 countries that signed the Rome statute establishing the court, which neither Israel nor its main Western ally, the United States of America, nor its main enemy, the Islamic Republic of Iran, are part of of.

➡️ The US criticised the move, with US President Joe Biden describing the warrants in a statement on Thursday night as “outrageous”.

“Let me be clear once again: whatever the ICC might imply, there is no equivalence – none – between Israel and Hamas. We will always stand with Israel against threats to its security.”

➡️ The ICC issued arrest warrants for War Crimes against Hamas Commander Mohammed Deif. The tribunal ruled that Deif's warrant was "classified as ‘secret’ to protect witnesses and safeguard the conduct of investigations."

➡️ Deif was one of the reported masterminds of the 7 October attack last year.

➡️ Israel said in early August it had killed Deif in an air strike in southern Gaza in July, but Hamas has not confirmed his death.

➡️ The court said it had issued the arrest warrant as the prosecutor had not been able to determine whether or not Deif was dead.

➡️ The court's chief prosecutor Karim Khan urged the body's members to act on the warrants, and for non-members to work together for "upholding international law".

"I find it hard to imagine that we would make arrests on this basis," said German government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit on Friday, pointing out that legal questions had to be clarified regarding the warrant.
