In a statement, the Public Prosecutor's Office said:

“The process to dismantle the Aragua Train was carried out in two stages, the first began in 2021 and consisted of the location and detention of its leaders and members.”

“The Second Stage began after the takeover of the Tocorón prison, carried out on September 20, 2023, and consisted of the definitive dismantling of the criminal organization and its financial muscle.”
