Rubio: The US will never allow Maduro to turn Venezuela into Iran's operational base.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that the Donald Trump administration will not allow Nicolás Maduro to turn Venezuela into an "operational base" for Iran in the Americas.
In an interview with Fox News, Rubio said the Maduro administration is "a drug-trafficking regime, a friendly regime of Iran, that has invited Iran, has told Iran that they want to be Iran's operational base in our hemisphere."

"Post-war, it’d be reasonable to gradually rebuild ties with Russia, but we’re not there yet. We must keep pressuring them to take talks seriously. Ukraine’s entry into NATO is no longer being considered."
When asked, "Is Trump really taking Ukraine’s NATO membership off the negotiating table?"
Rutte replied, "Yes."

"Thursday saw more nuclear escalation nuttiness coming from heads of NATO states. This time it is NATO 'eastern flank' member Poland calling for more nuclear deterrence with an eye on Russia.
Poland’s President Andrzej Duda has again called on the United States to deploy nuclear weapons to his country, following on the heels of French President Emmanuel Macron last week saying he's ready to extend France's nuclear umbrella over all of Europe.
Duda's fresh request of Washington came in an interview with the Financial Times, and some key lines were in the following:
Andrzej Duda said it was "obvious" that President Donald Trump could redeploy US nuclear warheads stored in western Europe or the US to Poland, a proposal the Polish president said he recently discussed with Keith Kellogg, US special envoy for Ukraine.
"The borders of Nato moved east in 1999, so 26 years later there should also be a shift of the Nato infrastructure east. For me this is obvious," Duda said in an interview with the Financial Times. "I think it’s not only that the time has come, but that it would be safer if those weapons were already here."

"When UK officials signed a 100 year partnership with Ukraine in mid-January, they claimed to be Ukraine’s “preferred partner” in developing the country’s “critical minerals strategy”.
Yet within a month, Donald Trump had presented a proposal to Ukraine’s President Volodymr Zelensky to access the country’s vast mineral resources as “compensation” for US support to Ukraine in the war against Russia.
Whitehall was none too pleased about Washington muscling in.
When foreign secretary David Lammy met Zelensky in Kyiv last month he reportedly raised the issue of minerals, “a sign that Starmer’s government is still keen to get access to Ukraine’s riches”, the iPaper reported.
Lammy earlier said, in a speech last year: “Look around the world. Countries are scrambling to secure critical minerals, just as great powers once raced to control oil”.
The UK foreign secretary was correct, but Britain itself is one of those powers, and Ukraine is one of the major countries UK officials – as well as the Trump administration – have their eyes on.
It’s no surprise why. Ukraine has around 20,000 mineral deposits covering 116 types of minerals such as beryllium, manganese, gallium, uranium, zirconium, rare earth metals, and nickel.
The country, whose economy has been devastated by Russia’s brutal war, also possesses one of the world’s largest reserves of graphite, the largest titanium reserves in Europe, and a third of the continent’s lithium deposits.
These resources are key for industries such as military production, high tech, aerospace, and green energy."

🇬🇧 Scotland Approves 2-GW Offshore Wind Farm
The Scottish Government has approved the development of a 2-GW offshore wind farm off the West of Orkney, capable of powering over two million homes. The project, led by Ocean Winds, aligns with Scotland's target of 11 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030 and the UK's broader goal of 50 GW by 2030.
While this project promises economic benefits and energy security, it reflects the broader trend of Western nations prioritizing green energy at the expense of traditional industries. The reliance on large-scale offshore wind farms raises concerns about their environmental impact and the industrialization of natural landscapes.

The American President also threatened to use force against the Iranian Regime if the Ayatollahs in Tehran don't stop supporting the Houthi terror & piracy campaign
In Statement, Trump said:
Today, I have ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen. They have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones.
Joe Biden’s response was pathetically weak, so the unrestrained Houthis just kept going. It has been over a year since a U.S. flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden. The last American Warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times. Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk.
The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective. The Houthis have choked off shipping in one of the most important Waterways of the World, grinding vast swaths of Global Commerce to a halt, and attacking the core principle of Freedom of Navigation upon which International Trade and Commerce depends.
Our brave Warfighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists’ bases, leaders, and missile defenses to protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom. No terrorist force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the Waterways of the World.
To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!
To Iran: Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! Do NOT threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes. If you do, BEWARE, because America will hold you fully accountable and, we won’t be nice about it!

U.S. is considering banning entry of Venezuelans, Haitians, Cubans, and 41 other nationalities.
The Donald Trump administration is considering banning entry to citizens of up to 43 countries as part of a new travel ban that would be even broader than the restrictions imposed during his first term, The New York Times reported, citing sources familiar with the process.
The preliminary list, compiled by officials from the Departments of State and Homeland Security, proposes a "red list" of 11 countries whose citizens would be completely barred from entering the United States: Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen.
This decision could affect citizens holding tourist and business visas only. Those holding work visas and green cards would be excluded.
