When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a 2021 Kensworth semi, pulling a trailer loaded with potatoes, was headed east on I-74 when it drove off the road for an "unknown reason."

Once the semi drove off the road, it overturned, causing the driver to be ejected. 

Deputies said the driver, later identified as Satvinder Singh, 22, of Sacramento, California, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to an agreed statement of facts, Amritpal Singh Virk, 29, was driving on 22nd Street eastbound toward Diefenbaker Drive on Oct. 7, 2022, when he drove through a red light and into the driver's side door of an SUV.

The two occupants of the SUV, a 59-year-old man and 60-year-old woman, both died as a result of their injuries.
