Bongino: Covid Lab Leak, Hunter Biden Stories ‘the Exact Same’
“So you have a story that would be damaging to the leftist political narrative, right? A set of so-called experts work as intermediaries to squash the story. They feed it to a bunch of tier one-level clowns in the media that do no reporting at all and haplessly repeat it. The story damages Donald Trump. Wash, rinse, repeat, right?”

‘Unsettled’: A Top Obama Scientist Becomes a Climate Truth Teller | The American Spectator
Steven Koonin reclaims the science of climate crisis from the propaganda peddlers.
Physicist Steven Koonin kicks the hornet’s nest right out of the gate in “Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What it Doesn’t, and Why it Matters.” In the book’s first sentences he asserts that “the Science” about our planet’s climate is anything but “settled.”
Dr. Koonin points out scientific facts supported by hard data and peer-reviewed literature that stand against the reigning climate change narrative: Humans have had no detectable impact on hurricanes over the past century; Greenland’s ice sheet isn’t shrinking any more rapidly today than it was eighty years ago; tornado frequency and severity is not trending up; the number and severity of droughts is not rising over time; the extent of global fires has been trending significantly downward; the rate of sea-level rise has not accelerated; global crop yields are rising, not falling; and the models on which approximately all public policy proposals are based are fatally flawed.
Indeed, one of the most surprising and important lessons of Unsettled is that many claims made by the media, politicians, and “scientists,” usually of the left, based on the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), are not made in the reports themselves or are views or conclusions that the studies explicitly say are held with “low confidence.” Yet the alarmists nevertheless contort these reports to tell us that we’re all going to die unless we bankrupt our children, make fuel unaffordable, transfer billions of dollars from U.S. taxpayers to Africa and Asia in pursuit of “climate justice,” stop driving cars, and otherwise eliminate the very things that have made modern human life the safest and most comfortable it’s ever been.
It’s important to know a little about Dr. Koonin: CalTech undergrad, MIT Ph.D. in theoretical physics. CalTech professor of theoretical physics and university provost. Author of more than 200 academic papers. Chief scientist at BP focusing on alternative and renewable energy. Undersecretary of Energy for Science in the Obama administration. Currently teaching at NYU. In other words, this guy is 1) the real deal and 2) not a conservative or a “denier.”
Throughout Unsettled, you’ll become unsettled at the brazenness of the lies and misdirection used by those who support the Green New Deal, carbon taxes, painting your roof white, eliminating meat from our diets, forcing you to ride a bike to work, take public transportation, and on and on and on. Almost everything you’ve been told by the mainstream media, including by “scientists,” is either intentionally or unintentionally erroneous, leading politicians to support policies that not only won’t help us today but will cause tremendous damage to future American generations’ standard of living and economic opportunities. Of course, what most climate-obsessed politicians really care about isn’t climate or our children’s futures. It’s control.

New Glenn Greenwald. And it's spectacular, calling out the new vile trend of propagandists who destroy lives casually draping themselves in the mantle of victimhood when they get any pushback from their victims:

Corporate journalists have license to use their huge platforms to malign, expose and destroy anyone they want. Your moral duty: sit in respectful silence and never object.
Only 2 nations on the planet allow pharmaceutical companies to advertise on television.
In the US, those pharma companies account for 75% of TV ad spend.

Uh huh.

This is a personal post because of what I am seeing right now with the Marxists in our education system.
What is the Marxist goal? It is to undermine the parent/child relationship and destroy the family.
That is why they are determined to undermine parents at every single avenue they can.
I want to share a personal story from my childhood to show how powerful the parent/child relationship is.
I remember reading stories of Soviet kids in the 70s who turned in their parents for subversion. That was anathema to me.
I was born in 1969. These stories had a formative effect on me at the time.
If you knew my daddy, Steve Davis you know how he thought and perceived the world.
When Star Wars came out, my dad went down every Rabbit Hole available. He decided that we should not watch it. The reasons do not matter for this story. The point is that my daddy said you will not watch this movie.
We attended a private Christian School. To this day I do not understand how this happened, but somehow our school got a copy of Star Wars to show for a special event during school hours for the 4th-6th graders.
I knew that I was not allowed to watch that movie.
It was not announced beforehand to my parents (it was the 70s) They tried to call my parents that day and could not connect. I kept saying I am not allowed to watch this movie. They placed me in a study hall to help younger kids.
At the time that was the biggest movie of the day
I was in the 4th grade. I honored my parents.
It never occurred to me to not do so.
After the passage of time, my dad changed his mind about the movie.
That means I saw Empire before Star Wars.
So what? I was not scarred for life for doing so.
I honored my parents
That is what children are charged to do.
That is what the Marxists want to destroy.

Sorry but I do not believe Kevin McCarthy's characterization of the discussion and I will wait to hear what Madison Cawthorn says. McCarthy is probably worried that Cawthorne's gonna ID him as one of the participants which certainly wouldn't be shocking. Always remember nothing reported by CNN is true or accurate

An important point to make here: warehousing of perishable and dry goods food or consumables means that supply shocks and inflation spikes take a while to appear. Retailers will tend to sell on a FIFO basis (First in, first out) and will sell at a markup based on the price they paid at the time to wholesale purchase the items. Because warehousing can keep months or sometimes years of inventory, we don't see the effects of repricing until that inventory starts to cycle through and be replaced.
That's what's happening now.
