If you still have a Dad, make sure you call him today.

Mine has been gone 12 years. And today I feel his loss like a heavy coat on me. I was 25, said goodbye to him while he had three months to live. We knew it would be the last time.

And then when he went home I never had a chance to grieve him because I was serving overseas. And I still struggle with this on special days, badly.
