For decades. the actual truth about Watergate was suppressed because the cabal had iron-fisted control of the national narrative about the subject.

But RussiaGate and the exposure of it forced the intelligence agency's bag of tricks out into the open.

Nixon was ending the Vietnam War and his policy of "Vietnamization" was winning. The military-industrial complex could not have that.

Though they shifted their war-propagating activities from Southeast Asia to the Middle East for the rest of the 1970's and into the 2000's, they had to pay Richard Nixon back for moving to successfully end America's involvement in the Vietnam war.
