A last thought before bed...

As men, we tend to think of external things that we do "for our family" differently than our better halves and kids do.

Working to provide a good life & future. Ensuring things are safe. In current times, trying to wake people up or align with our communities to keep this country from running completely off the rails.

But for our families, they often only see lost time. That time is your most valuable asset, because it's the one thing you can never get back.

Despite what you think, there is no such thing as "making up for lost time" with family.

College or army buddies, yes. Wife and kids, no.

Take care to keep balance. Your kids will be grown before you know it. Your wife will (hopefully) be there with you when when the kids leave the house & start their own families.

Don't lose sight of the forest for the trees.

If you're doing things "for your family," it needs to include time with your family.

Men tend to forget or rationalize away from that very easily.

Be with them as much as you can. If things do get really bad, you'll need the strongest family unit you can have.
