If you've not seen this miniseries, it's an excellent one. While the focus is on a drug shipment moving from Columbia to Italy via ship, it's a great look at how multivariate and how many connective pieces there are to everything today.
We know China and the cartels are already working together in some capacities, so it's a good look into where the black and gray markets can meet to do bad things.
Also brilliant storytelling, character development, cinematography, and blending of multiple storylines & archs into one:
