Short-attention span & low information, all emotion-types still don't get it:
When messing with ancient or civilizations many times older than us (Russia, China, Iran/Persia), it behooves one to understand their history.
Hubris has supplanted "know thy enemy" in both DC and the greater US, unfortunately.

When you understand the history of Western interests (US, UK, Germany) foisting Lenin & Trotsky on Czarist Russia and helping fund/create the Bolshevik Revolution there, you have a better historical understanding of things.
Our nation has for decades been run by the idiot grandchildren of the builders of our statecraft machine.
The original machine was not built all that well, and many parts/decisions were terrible with too many incorrect assumptions baked into the cake.
Yet for decades, the idiots put in charge to run it had no idea of how or why much of it was built, and merely showed up to keep the machine going.
It's held together with bubble gum and duct tape now, and any technical manuals we'd need to really fix it were likely disposed of in Agency burn bags long ago.
This is one reason people find themselves so aligned with Trump's "bull in a China shop" allure right now.
Even if only subconsciously, they know a serious overhaul is badly needed yet impossible with most of the crew currently in DC (far more than just the White House).

In 2015, Alex Jones was roundly mocked for his suggestion that chemicals like Atrazine might be causing serious feminising effects not just for frogs and amphibians, but humans too.
