I'm not the guy to pretend that I'm perfect (I'm far from it) or to tell you how to live your life, but I have a heavy suggestion for all of you whom this applies to:
Stop drinking booze or beer.
Now.
At the very least for 2024.
This isn't Lent-related, it's for your situational awareness.
We all know this year is likely to be a level of crazy that most are not accustomed to or prepared for.
We don't know any of the 5Ws, although we have suspicions. What we do know is that it will be crazy in some (or many) form(s).
Booze dulls the senses, reduces clarity, and slows reaction times.
Not only whilst imbibing, but it sticks with you. It actually takes some time for it to filter out of your system, and to readjust to not having that dulling of senses.
But nobody knows when/how the crazy will come - but many of us are sure it will come.
Just a piece of advice. If for nothing more than having the sharpest mind & sense of awareness that you can muster, it's not a bad thing to cut for the next year.
