But I had a very close friend through my extracurricular activities out here in LaLaLand who'd been an insider in the rap/hip-hop scene. Not a key player, but the type who ends up in a lot of those circles & at a lot of events.
He told me about this type of stuff, with these people specifically, over 10 years ago.
