“It’s the machines, stupid.” - Dr Frank

"Lightbulbs"

I did a calculation in 1982 that showed that LED bulbs would be about twenty times more efficient at light production than incandescent bulbs. So I always suspected that our culture would migrate to them.

They should also last much longer. But every time I return home it seems that are several of them burned out, and Nellie walks me through the house pointing each one of them out until I replace them.

Nellie is the lightbulb police.

People think that California has "turned blue."

Of course, that's possible.

But it's more likely that California's elections no longer reflect the will of the citizens who live there.

California has "gone postal."

You don't even need corrupt voting machines when you have corrupt legislatures.

"Broken Elections"

When I was in Oregon recently, I was struck by the pall of depression that loomed over the state. The citizens there feel like they have no recourse, and are subject to the whims of a government that does not represent their interests.

They are trying to pass a citizen's statewide initiative to eliminate mail-in voting.

Except...

You can't fix broken elections with broken elections.

Like the recent California recall "election." What a joke.

The course of action with the most probability of success centers on local control and careful monitoring of every ballot.

There are also uglier ways.

But I prefer citizen engagement. It's time for "We the People" to wake up and reclaim our birthright.

“We the People”

In 1976 I celebrated the bicentennial of our country extra loudly because I was in the high school marching band. I remember thinking how strong and wonderful our country was, standing for liberty and virtue.

I also remember historians and cynics saying that countries fall because of moral decay; they become corrupted from the inside. But I dismissed their comments thinking, “Nah… not America. I’m not worried. America stands for truth and justice.”

And that is the problem.

Evil never sleeps. The preservation of Liberty requires constant vigilance, and We the People have become steadily complacent.

Complacent to the extent that we allow idiots to teach our children, heretics to lead our apostate churches, communists to run our corrupted governments, and financial interests to operate our manipulated elections.

We’ve become so affluent and lazy that we’ve delegated the most critical tasks to other people. And now we are paying for it.

Plato wrote, “One of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.”

So true. And not just intellectually inferior, also morally and ethically inferior.

People often ask me what they can do to fix our elections, and there are lots of things. But our corrupted elections are merely one *consequence* of decades of a complacent citizenry.

The most important thing the average citizen can do is to get educated and become more involved at the local level.

“We the People” are in a state of moral decay. Our only hope is a spiritual awakening.

Freedom is not free.

“2nd Law of Thermodynamics”

This bedrock of science teaches us that every time something “happens” the total entropy of the universe increases.

Expressed in layman’s terms, things naturally tend toward chaos; it takes lots of extra work to keep things in order.

We know this from our experiences, which is why we pay extra attention in situations where keeping things in tip-top shape is important, like with personal hygiene and air travel.

We don’t leave the health and safety of our children to chance, we carry our cash carefully instead of loosely in our pockets, and we pay careful attention and use two hands when carrying something fragile.

We pay careful attention when it matters; we use our own eyes and our own hands.

Well, elections matter. A lot. But we’ve been asleep at the wheel, trusting others to run our governments and our elections instead of using our own eyes and our two hands.

Government and elections are not going to improve until we start using our own eyes and our own two hands.

Liberty is fragile.

I’m headed to Missouri for The Moment of Truth Summit. I’ve been helping the Mike Lindell team to prepare for the event and will also be presenting. It’s going to be epic!

I’m also looking forward to hanging out with Mike and the over one thousand patriot attendees from every state in our country who will be reporting on their snowballing election reform efforts.

Make sure to tune in this weekend, you don’t want to miss this historic event!
