US suffers losses in the Red Sea.

A US Navy F/A-18A Super Hornet fighter jet from the carrier squadron of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman was shot down by its own cruiser USS Gettysburg (Ticonderoga class).

Kalashnikov has developed and started supplying a new modification of the Vikhr-1 missile with expanded combat capabilities. This was stated in an interview with TASS by the concern's general director Alan Lushnikov.

"We have mastered the production of a new modification of the Vikhr-1 missile with expanded combat capabilities. I will not comment in more detail, this is the customer's prerogative. But from our side I can say that we have put it into production and are already shipping it."

- said Lushnikov.

👉 Details of the upgrade are not disclosed - it could include an increased range, a high-explosive warhead, and the introduction of a seeker for "fire and forget", but it is still unknown, maybe something else.
