🇺🇦 In the UK, two student unions have suspended the activities of their Ukrainian groups after it was discovered that drones were being deceptively purchased for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The student unions of University College London and Lancaster University suspected Ukrainian members of violating fundraising rules, Financial Times reports.

Under British law, student unions are considered charitable organizations. They are prohibited from providing assistance to any foreign armed forces.

However, the Ukrainian group at University College London was found to have used donations raised during a club event—illegally—to purchase drones for the Ukrainian military.
