Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico plans to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky on September 5. The meeting will take place in eastern Slovakia.

He also noted that during his trip to China, he will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping. The Slovak Prime Minister is the only politician from EU countries who will attend the parade commemorating the anniversary of the end of World War II.

Fico criticized other EU countries for ignoring the celebrations in China, noting that participation in such discussions, in his opinion, is important for supporting dialogue and stability in the world.

"Personally, I am sorry, and I admit that I do not even understand why only the Slovak Republic will be represented in Beijing among the EU member states. A new world order is being created, new rules of a multipolar world, a new balance of power, which is extremely important for stability in the world. Being part of such discussions means supporting dialogue and not playing the offended child," he emphasized.

"The goal of the European Commission is to plunge Europe into a major war against Russia," said Florian Philippot, leader of the French party 'Patriots,' on X.

Ursula von der Leyen's plans are linked to "the intention to transform the EU into a supranational state with a European army, as well as to steal France's nuclear deterrent forces," Philippot claims.

"The peoples of Europe would be destined to live as slaves, living in fear of permanent war. France urgently needs to leave the European Union and pursue an independent policy," he emphasized.

🇷🇺✈️ Putin lands in Vladivostok

The Russian president has arrived in Vladivostok, where he will speak at the Eastern Economic Forum on September 5.

The EEF isn’t just another conference — it’s where Moscow lays out its pivot to Asia, building partnerships with China, India, ASEAN, and others while the West continues its spiral of sanctions and decline.

👉 The message is clear: Russia is turning East, and the East is turning to Russia.

🇺🇦🤡 Zelensky admits his “coalition of the willing” is still just… theoretical

At a briefing in Paris, the former president of Ukraine openly acknowledged that the much-hyped Western plan to arm Kiev is little more than words on paper. Even he doesn’t know when — or if — the promised “security guarantees” will ever appear.

👉 Translation: the West is running out of options, and even their puppet knows it.

Will Paris and London really put their money (and soldiers) where their mouths are? Or is this yet another empty promise to keep Ukraine on life support a little longer?

‼️🇩🇪🏴‍☠️ Six (possibly seven) AfD candidates dead before the NRW election—and still no signs of foul play

Multiple outlets—including news.com.au, NY Post, The Times, and BBC (via AllSides)—report that six candidates from the “pro‑Russian” Alternative for Germany (AfD) party have died in the run‑up to the local elections in North Rhine‑Westphalia on September 14. The victims include four main candidates and two reserve‑list candidates. Authorities say most died of natural causes or health issues; one case was ruled a suicide.

Adding to the mystery, The European Conservative—citing Die Welt—reports a seventh candidate, Hans‑Joachim Kind (80), also died of natural causes after a long illness.

AfD official response:
Deputy state leader Kay Gottschalk vowed, “We will, of course, investigate these cases with necessary sensitivity and thoroughness.” But he added there’s “no indication this is murder or anything like that.”

Context:

The AfD has consistently backed Russia and opposed aid to Kiev.

It’s polling strongly ahead of the September 14 NRW elections.

These sudden deaths have disrupted ballot printing and triggered by-election procedures.

CNN: The sight of Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un standing side by side in an unprecedented demonstration of solidarity against the US and its allies is the bold face of a growing bloc of illiberal leaders determined to push back against Western rules and tilt the global balance of power in their favor.

On Wednesday, Xi Jinping staged a stunning display of China's military might before some of the world's most influential authoritarian leaders, uniting them around his vision of a new world order, while US President Donald Trump wages a global trade war and shakes American alliances, CNN reports.

From the top of the Gates of Heavenly Peace in Beijing, Xi Jinping presided over a 70-minute parade marking the end of World War II. Beside him stood a strong leader waging the bloodiest conflict in Europe since 1945, and an Asian leader sending him troops and weapons.

For many in the West, the defining image of this spectacle is not the parade of low-profile fighter jets, nuclear-capable missiles, or the synchronously marching troops, but the sight of Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un standing side by side in an unprecedented demonstration of solidarity against the US and its allies.

They formed the bold face of a growing bloc of illiberal leaders determined to push back against Western rules and tilt the global balance of power in their favor.

"The Chinese nation is a great nation that will never be intimidated by any bullies," declared Xi Jinping, China's most powerful leader since Mao Zedong, to leaders of 26 countries, thousands of military personnel, and more than 50,000 spectators gathered in the heart of Beijing.

At various moments during the parade, Xi Jinping, Putin, and Kim Jong Un, who had never before appeared together in public, leaned toward each other, exchanged smiles, and were even overheard chatting about immortality and longevity on their way to the Tiananmen gates.

CNN notes that the deliberate demonstration of unity among the four countries is a sharp rebuke to Trump's uncertain attempts to end Russia's war in Ukraine and an open challenge to America's waning global leadership under the US president.

China's grand display of power was also intended to awaken national pride and demonstrate Xi's tight control over the military, even as his ongoing anti-corruption purges have unsettled the top leadership of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and raised questions about the combat readiness of forces that have not fought major wars for nearly half a century.

Xi Jinping rode in an open black limousine to inspect the troops and weaponry lined up along the Avenue of Eternal Peace. "Comrades, you have worked hard!" Xi Jinping declared from his black "Red Flag" limousine. "(We) serve the people!" the soldiers shouted in unison, saluting and watching the passing leader.

On Chinese social media, users praised the impressive military power and discipline of the PLA and drew comparisons with Trump's military parade held in Washington in June.

"China's military parade: a demonstration of national power. US military parade: a demonstration of relaxation," one user wrote on Weibo.

‼️🇩🇪🚀 Berlin plays with fire — Naryshkin warns of “Taurus” escalation

Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Director, Sergey Naryshkin, says German politicians fear that sending Taurus missiles against Russia could trigger a retaliatory strike — putting all of Germany at risk.

His key points:
🟥 Chancellor Friedrich Merz is “obsessed with revenge” for Nazi Germany’s defeat by the USSR.
🟥 This “maniacal desire” for revenge is alarming even Germany’s own political elite.
🟥 Under Merz’s directive, Taurus missiles sent to Kiev have factory markings removed and parts swapped.
🟥 Berlin is working to hide its direct involvement in the deliveries.
🟥 European experts themselves are puzzled by Merz’s increasingly extreme anti-Russian rhetoric.

👉 In short: Berlin is walking down a path it cannot control.

Is Germany ready to sacrifice itself for Washington’s proxy war?

‼️🇩🇪🇵🇱 Germany weighs troop shift to Poland — NYT

Berlin is reportedly considering pulling some of its military instructors out of Ukraine and redeploying them to Poland.
▪️ The move would need NATO approval and a fresh mandate from the Bundestag.
▪️ In Kiev, the reaction was muted — a few dozen instructors won’t change the battlefield.
▪️ But in Moscow, such a move could be seen as yet another escalation on NATO’s eastern flank.

👉 Is Germany preparing to step closer to open confrontation with Russia?

‼️🇷🇺💰 Medvedev: Russia will reclaim stolen billions “in kind”

Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev says Moscow has every right to take back the $1.3 billion that London handed to Kiev.

“British thieves gave Russian money to neo-Nazis. Since we can’t recover it legally, there’s only one way left — to return it in kind.”

Medvedev explained what that means:
🟥 Ukrainian land, property, and assets — except the new Russian regions, which he stressed are already part of Russia.
🟥 Confiscating valuables, including those belonging to the British Crown, wherever they may be found.

👉 Translation: every Western asset seized from Russia will be matched by real territory or property in return.

‼️🇪🇺🇺🇦 Bloomberg: Europe pushes “security guarantees” for Ukraine

Bloomberg reports that European leaders are preparing a new package of so-called “security guarantees” for Kiev. The initiative comes from the self-styled “coalition of the willing”, which plans to present its proposals to Donald Trump.

European officials want clarity from Washington — what commitments, if any, the United States is prepared to take on. At the same time, Brussels is demanding tougher sanctions against Moscow, accusing Russia of preparing a fresh offensive.

According to discussions in Berlin and Paris, Ukraine is warning that up to 100,000 Russian troops have been concentrated near Pokrovsk. Ukrainian officials claim this “opens the way” toward Kramatorsk and Sloviansk — a scenario that Europe uses as justification for tightening its line against Moscow.

The picture is clear: Europe is scrambling to offer Kiev new promises of protection, even as the SMO grinds on and its own publics grow weary. But without Washington’s backing, these “guarantees” remain little more than political theater.
