🇬🇧 Britain tests interceptor drones for air defense
The British company Marine and Remote Sensing Solutions (MARSS) has announced successful trials of its new interceptor drone, the Interceptor-MR.
Unlike strike UAVs, this system carries no warhead — it is designed to ram and destroy enemy drones in midair. For this purpose, its nose is reinforced with titanium, making it sturdier than Ukrainian and Russian equivalents. The drone can be recovered and reused after impact.
The Interceptor-MR has a range of 5 kilometers and a top speed of 288 km/h, guided by artificial intelligence through the NiDAR EDGE system. MARSS has also developed a smaller short-range version, the Interceptor-SR. Both models are launched from containerized systems.
The company claims one NATO country has already expressed interest, with wider negotiations underway. MARSS has expanded its workforce and plans to double capacity again in order to begin mass production by 2026.

‼️🇮🇱🇶🇦 Israel strikes Doha, targeting Hamas leaders
▪️On September 9, Israel carried out an airstrike in the Qatari capital, Doha, aiming at senior Hamas officials including Khalil al-Hayya, the exiled Gaza chief and lead negotiator. His son was among those reported killed.
▪️Hamas confirmed its top leadership survived, but at least five lower-ranking members and one Qatari security officer died.
▪️Qatar condemned the attack as “cowardly” and a violation of its sovereignty. The UN Secretary-General António Guterres called it a clear breach of international law.
▪️Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey, Iran, Egypt, Lebanon and others denounced the strike, warning of a dangerous escalation.
▪️The United States admitted it was informed beforehand but distanced itself, calling the strike “unfortunate” and not in its interests.
▪️The attack threatens to derail ceasefire negotiations, with Qatar acting as a key mediator between Israel and Hamas.

🇮🇱🇶🇦🇵🇸 Israeli strike on Doha raises new questions
▪️During Israel’s attack on Doha, flight data showed Qatari F-15QA “Ababil” fighters circling over the capital, according to Flightradar24.
▪️American and British aerial refueling tankers were also present in the skies over the Gulf at the time.
▪️Hamas leaders were in Qatar at the personal suggestion of Donald Trump, who had positioned Doha as a mediator by offering U.S. “guarantees” for their safety during ceasefire negotiations.
▪️Despite this, Israel struck residential buildings hosting members of Hamas’ political bureau. Hamas confirmed senior figures survived, but casualties included lower-ranking members and a Qatari security officer.
▪️Qatar condemned the strike as a violation of sovereignty. The UN Secretary-General called it a breach of international law, while Middle Eastern states from Saudi Arabia to Turkey warned of a dangerous escalation.

🇵🇱 NATO invokes Article 4 after UAV incident — Moscow responds
Poland has announced that NATO invoked Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty following the recent UAV incident on Polish territory. Government spokesman Adam Schlapka emphasized that under the treaty, Article 4 allows any member to request consultations when it feels its territorial integrity, political independence, or security is threatened.
The Russian Ministry of Defense firmly rejected Warsaw’s accusations, noting that Russian strikes were aimed exclusively at Ukrainian military-industrial sites. The ministry underlined that the UAVs used had a maximum range of 700 kilometers, making the alleged crossing into Poland impossible.
Moscow also stated its readiness to hold consultations with the Polish Ministry of Defense regarding the incident.

🇪🇺 Brussels proposes “Reparations Loan” from frozen Russian assets to arm Ukraine
In a move presenting frozen Russian funds as both the problem and solution, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen proposed a “reparations loan” scheme to finance Ukraine’s defense.
Under the plan, cash balances tied to immobilized Russian assets across Europe would be used to provide Ukraine with upfront financial support—while preserving the original principal. EU member states would share the risk. Ukraine would only begin repaying the loan once Russia pays full reparations.
The proposal aligns with the G7 agreement on a $50 billion support package, backed by more than $300 billion in frozen assets.

🇫🇷 France paralyzed by “Block Everything” protests amid political crisis
On September 10, France was engulfed in nationwide unrest under the “Block Everything” banner—a decentralized movement born online and now sweeping the nation. Across cities including Paris, Toulouse, Lyon, Bordeaux, Montpellier, Marseille, and Nantes, protesters erected roadblocks, set fires, and clashed with security forces in a dramatic show of defiance. Authorities deployed approximately 80,000 police and gendarmes, with 6,000 stationed in Paris, in a bid to contain the disruption.
