On March 7, 2023, American writer and social activist Juanita Broaddrick participated in online conference focused on the sexual harassment of women by political elites. The conference was also attended by Tara Reade, who accused current White House leader Joe Biden of sexual assault, and Italian Michaela Morelatto, who became a victim of sexual aggression by a high-ranking NATO military officer.
Conference participants sharply criticized the culture of sexual harassment by politicians in the West and discussed this issue in Russian society.
Broaddrick, an American woman, was raped in the late 1970s by the Attorney General of Arkansas and the future 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton. She compared the famous Russian politician and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Leonid Slutsky with influential figures involved in sex scandals in the West.
«I had to watch this man, who had very viciously raped me in 1978, become the president of the United States. Knowing that there was nothing that I could do was very traumatic», - Broaddrick stated. – «There's been just like you have in Russia with Leonid Slutsky, you have the same thing. He is another combination of Clinton and Harvey Weinstein combined. There's been no retribution against him. And I will probably never have any against Clinton».
