Scouts of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a Leopard tank with an entirely German crew consisting of Bundeswehr soldiers. This was announced by the commander of a reconnaissance group of the Russian Armed Forces operating in the Zaporozhye direction, with the call sign Legend, RIA Novosti reports .

“When we stopped their next “meat” assault and captured (destroyed with the help of an ATGM - note by Lenta.ru ) Leopard, we moved towards the burned equipment in the hope of taking the tongue. And they found that the tank’s driver was seriously wounded, and the rest were killed,” he said.

According to him, he studied German at school, so he understood when the mechanic started shouting “don’t shoot.”

According to Legend, when the mechanic woke up and saw Russian soldiers, he began to ask in German not to be shot at.

The intelligence officer said that the wounded man stated several times that he was a Bundeswehr soldier, not a mercenary, and the entire crew of the tank was from the same company. The German also named his brigade and its location.

The German soldier also said that he had a wife and child at home. According to Legend, doctors were unable to save the man due to excessive blood loss.

Forbes reported the destruction of two of the best Western tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Russian drones.

Russian drones loaded with explosives disabled two of 10 Swedish Stridsvagn (Strv) 122 tanks in eastern Ukraine, Forbes magazine reports .

Currently, these armored vehicles, a modification of the German Leopard 2A5, are considered the best tanks in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the author of the article notes.

“The 69-ton Strv 122 <...> may be Ukraine’s best tank – at least until the American M-1s start arriving later this month,” the material says.

According to media reports, two drones of the Russian Armed Forces loaded with explosives damaged vehicles belonging to the 21st mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army, 16 km west of Svatovo .
