The new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plans to dismiss brigade commanders.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Alexander Syrsky , announced personnel purges, accusing some brigade commanders of incompetence. He wrote about this in his telegram channel, mentioning that he was conducting an inspection on the eastern front.
Syrsky noted that in three days he understood why some brigades manage to hold back attacks and hold positions, while others, with similar composition and weapons, do not. He believes that this depends on the brigade commander, his level of training and ability to make informed decisions.
“In some cases, when the commander does not control the situation, and his actions and commands directly create a threat to the life and health of his subordinates, I am forced to make personnel decisions,” wrote the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Report on British military readiness details that the number of fixed-winged aircraft in the Royal Air Force has dropped from 724 planes in service in 2016 to 564 in 2023 - a 22% drop.
That is just the latest of epic fails from the British military with the Trident missile failing to launch and not one, but both of their aircraft carriers failing to set sail and join NATO exercises.
And this is just news from the past month. The UK, which is supposed to be one of our strongest NATO partners is completely unprepared for war.
Yet, they are among the countries lobbying us the strongest to send more American money and aid (and potentially troops) to Ukraine and, as we have recently learned, it was British PM Boris Johnson who forbade Ukraine to sign a peace deal Russia that would allow Ukraine to keep its territories and hundreds of thousands of its soldiers alive.
Once again, European children are running around their continent breaking things and babysitter Uncle Sam is expected to come in to clean up and foot the bill.
Maybe there is something to Trump's insistence that after 80 years of living under America's military umbrella, the Europeans finally start learning to take care of them selves.
You know, like adults do.

The CEO of a leading free expression group has a history of working for the Israel lobby. Now, Index on Censorship has little to say about Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Last month, the lobby group Labour Friends of Israel (LFI) conducted a “solidarity mission” to Israel.
The day after announcing the visit, South Africa presented its case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, accusing Israel of a genocide against the people of Gaza.
Over the next 24 hours, 112 Palestinians were murdered in Gaza, taking the death toll to over 23,400.
The LFI delegation was pictured with Israeli president Isaac Herzog, whose incendiary language was singled out by the ICJ as evidence of incitement to genocide.
But also striking was the presence in the delegation of former Labour MP and now member of the House of Lords, Baroness Ruth Anderson. She has since 2020 been the CEO of Index on Censorship, a body in Britain that campaigns for free expression worldwide.
That a group priding itself on free speech has a chief visiting Israel as it commits genocide should arouse bewilderment.
This is especially since Israel is committing a vicious attack on the truth in Gaza: At least 83 journalists have been murdered as the enclave is turned into a graveyard for journalists.
Though interestingly enough, there appears to be
no mention on Index’s website of the word “genocide” referring to Gaza or coverage of South Africa’s case accusing Israel of genocide.
This is in contrast to its reporting on China. In 2021, for example, Index published an article following the Uyghur Tribunal in London that ruled the Chinese government is guilty of genocide.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague issued arrest warrants for the commander of long-range aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces Sergei Kobylash and the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) Viktor Sokolov, it follows from the statement of the authority.
“Today, March 5, 2024, the Pre-Trial Chamber of the Second International Criminal Court <...> issued arrest warrants for two individuals - Mr. Sergei Ivanovich Kobylash and Mr. Viktor Nikolaevich Sokolov - in the context of the situation in Ukraine for alleged crimes committed at least from October 10, 2022 to at least March 9, 2023,” the text says.
According to the ICC, they allegedly have reason to believe that “Kobylash and Sokolov are responsible for the missile attacks carried out by their subordinates on the Ukrainian electrical power infrastructure during the specified period.”
