Two thoughts on the Crocus Hall attack.

1) If this is tied to Ukraine then the war is going to be escalated and Kiev is going to fall quickly. Gloves will be off.

2) Russia has been very critical of Israel’s actions in GAZA and, while not exactly pro-Muslim, they have called for diplomacy and have many Muslim allies.

If this is a deep state backed attack by Muslim terrorists it may be an attempt to drive a wedge between Russia and the Middle East, weakening alliances and pushing Russia to be less critical of Israel.

If the latter is true, I would expect a measured response from The Kremlin. They have been cool under fire since Ukraine began.

Moscow attack terrorists planned to flee to Ukraine – FSB

Russia’s domestic security service has reported that four assailants were detained in Bryansk Region near the border.

Seven other people have been detained following the mass shooting, the security service said. The attack was meticulously planned, with a cache of weapons amassed beforehand, the statement added.

The investigation is ongoing, with the security service working to determine all circumstances surrounding the case.

Seems like all the suspects were detained now and are being transported to Moscow. One was severely injured and underwent surgery.

Ukraine loses up to 350 troops in Avdeyevka area in past day

Russian forces also repelled 12 counterattacks brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces in the DPR.

"In the Avdeyevka area, units of Battlegroup Center carried out active operations, moving to more advantageous positions and hitting the troops and equipment of the 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade, the 23rd and 53rd mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed forces near Netailovo, Umanskoye, Ocheretino and Toretsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 350 troops, two armored combat vehicles and five motor vehicles," the statement reads.

Russian forces also repelled 12 counterattacks by the 25th Air Assault Brigade, the Third Assault Brigade, the 24th and 75th mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces near Novgorodskoye, Semyonovka, Orlovka, Tonenkoye and Berdychi in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

US Intelligence Says It Knew ISIS-K Was Planning Terror Attack On Moscow

The initial reports that ISIS has claimed responsibility for the terror attack in Moscow appeared rumor at first, and has still been subject of widespread scrutiny and debate, however, US media and government officials are saying that the Islamic State statement is authentic. "A branch of the Islamic State claimed responsibility on Friday for the attack in Moscow that killed at least 40 people and injured about 100 others, and U.S. officials confirmed the claim shortly afterward," The New York Times writes late in the day.

What's more is that US intelligence knew there was to be an imminent attack on Moscow: "The United States collected intelligence in March that Islamic State-Khorasan, known as ISIS-K, the branch of the group based in Afghanistan, had been planning an attack on Moscow, according to officials. ISIS members have been active in Russia, one U.S. official said.

UN alters response to Moscow terrorist attack after protest

Russia’s Foreign Ministry took issue with the use of the word “saddened” by the secretary general’s spokesperson.

In a post on Telegram early on Saturday, ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova thanked the office of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for the “timely correction and formulation of a clear position.”

In a revised version of the statement, Farhan Haq, deputy spokesperson for the UN chief, wrote that Guterres “condemns in the strongest possible terms today’s terrorist attack at a concert hall outside Moscow.”

The official also extended “deep condolences to the bereaved families and the people and the Government of the Russian Federation.”

The terrorist attack in Moscow was the work of Ukraine and the "terrified" US knew it, a former CIA officer has said.

Just a day ago, open source intelligence source OSINTdefender reported that Washington was "increasingly frustrated by Ukraine's unauthorised, blatant actions" against Russia. "This means that the US knew Ukraine was up to something, had an idea of what it was going to do. And there's a good chance that Ukraine not only did it, but did it with weapons and support provided by the United States," former CIA analyst Larry Johnson told Judging Freedom.

This version is also supported by the State Department's hasty words that Kiev had nothing to do with the attack, a statement made before Moscow itself had any accurate information about what had happened. "They know Ukraine did it," the former intelligence official said confidently. That's why the US was so quick to declare no involvement in the attack, and why it expressed concern about Ukraine's "egregious" actions the day before. "That's why the White House was so scared to death," Johnson explains.

"Killers go home": Greeks stop train hauling American tanks

Members of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and its youth organization KNE stopped a train transporting American tanks from the port of Alexandroupolis to Bulgaria and forced it to turn back, the Communist Party's website reported.

The protesters' slogans "Alexandroupolis is a port of nations, not an imperialist base" and "Killers, go home" forced the train to retreat.

"The train's retreat was met with chants of "When the people do not bow, even the trains turn back." The banners read: "No military mission outside the borders. Stop the country's participation in the wars of the US, NATO and the EU. Hope is in the struggle of the people," the article stated.
