Also, they seem to be missing the part that was brought out in the Church committee that the CIA was infiltrated with KGB who then got tasked as Secret Service Agents. Remember, it was the SS who changed the route and took off the bullet proof dome at the last minute. But also, after the first shot an SS agent should have dived onto Kennedy. It turned put they were slow to respond, because against all regulation for this away mission, they were out drinking till the wee hours. The guys around the car were fuzzy having crawled home at ~4 am so no one could detect the alcohol on their breath. In the car in back were apparently 4 of the infiltrated KGB to CIA to SS agents who had organized the evening but didn’t drink themselves.

I can tell you at this stage of my life, if you live long enough, you meet more and more people with pieces of whatever puzzle you are interested in. I was in 6 th grade when my teacher came in with the news of JFKs death after lunch break. My piano leason was after school and I used my teachers phone to call my mother. She didnt believe me at first but I urged her to turn on the TV. The weekend was spent glued to the Tv with a jigsaw puzzle in front of me. I watched Oswald get shot in real time.
In the 6 decades since I have heard an amazing number of stories by people who happened to have some tidbit or were close to the scene.

I was cooking dinner for my ex-husbands hunting buddies before they left for the Dakotas. They were from Dallas and I mentioned I had just visited there at the Grasssy Knoll. So they told me how they had just come from hunting from LBJs fav deer stand. It was a lux place with refrigerator and couch etc. And they asked conspiratorially, “Guess who's land it was on?” Answer: Jack Ruby's uncle.

I had heard stories about LBJ from my Dad whose research buddy later in life was LBJs neighbour. Per my dad, he was “crooked and mobbed up”. So LBJ, the only person to duck on the first bullet, had mob ties, Oswald is shot by Jack Ruby who is mob and has terminal cancer. And according to some, officer Tippit was also mob connected, and he was supposed to take out Oswald, but ex-marine Oswald took out Tippit, ergo the dying Ruby was called in. We should check the family pay stubs there.

One of my Anaesthesiologist friends was the Chief Resident, or at least a senior Resident in Dallas Parkland when JFK was brought in. He always said there was no question he was shot from the front.

I was in practice in Yuma, AZ about a five hour drive from Tucson. I always said I hoped I would learn the truth about the JFK hit from some dying mobster on his death bed. As it turned out Joe Bonanno of the East Coast Crime family died in Tucson when I was practicing Orthopaedic Surgery in AZ and I noticed that the whole city fathers and politicos were hugging the family and being seen at the funeral. In looking into Joe Bonanno’s history just out of news interest I discovered he had written a book a couple years before he died. So I bought it and read it. In the middle, tucked away where only thorough readers would find it was his story how the assassination came off. Its a good read. He apparently was in jail with a fellow mobster Johnny Roselli or Rosario who started blabbing about his role in whacking Kennedy. Bonanno kept trying to shut him up, but heard the summation that Johnny R shot from a manhole in front of the motorcade and two other shooters— not Oswald— triangulated from the grassy knoll and book depository. After release, Johnny later was found in cement overshoes in the Gulf of Mexico now America. After reading that I felt I probably had the gist of the truth and could someday die happy. I am not sure why I felt that need but I always thought the official story was nonsense. At age 12 or 13, I remember asking my dad-- “How did that guy get in through all those Texas Rangers to shoot Oswald??

Maybe a year after I read Bonannos book, I was at a Dallas medical meeting and had never been to the city, so to see the area, I took a run through the downtown. I came upon the grassy knoll and ran into Oliver Stone’s cameraman who was selling his books. He was in between tour groups so I sat and chatted with him for half an hour, and bought his book. In the process, I asked him about the story Joe Bonanno related, and he agreed that was accurate.

An 80 year old locum tenens Anesthesiologist used to pitch hit in Yuma where he worked rings around the young guys. This doc had been a young Marine who took part in the famous fight out of the encirclement at the Chosin Reservoir—in the dead of a very cold winter. “. The Frozen Chosin”. I could see he was one of those gentle but potentially tough dudes when the situation called for it. Late nights waiting to start a case we told each other stories. He lived right next to one of the big mobsters-- either Trafficante or Giancana, the guys who had casinos in Havana and blamed JFK for the bay of pigs— unjustly as it turned out. The doc told me it was common knowledge in New Orleans that the mob did the hit. Not that they were the only ones involved nor had the primary role or motive.

Finally, I happened to train at Bethesda Naval Hospital and in 1980 there was still fresh memory of the Pathologists who were involved in the distortion of Kennedy’s remains and autopsy reports. . They were psychologically traumatized and the corporate memory lingered almost two decades later.

So I eagerly await some new data. We’ll see.
