🚨🚨 BREAKING: The University of Zurich has been using AI bots to secretly manipulate Redditors since November 2024.
“The scariest part?
The bots were 6 times more likely to change the minds of Redditors than the baseline, often by leveraging misinformation.
The paper, innocuously noscriptd "Can AI change your view?" details the process researchers from the University of Zurich used to make AI interact on Reddit.
This was done in secret, without informing the users or the moderators.
2 days ago, the mods of r/changemyview revealed the study and released usernames of 13 bots who had been created by the study.
I queried my server for the usernames and found, over the course of just a few months, the bots had written close to 1500 comments.
Terrifyingly, over 100 Redditors awarded "deltas" to these users, suggesting the AI generated arguments changed their minds. This is 6 times higher than the baseline.
How were they so effective? Before replying, another bot stalked the post history of the target, learned about them and their beliefs, and then crafted responses that would perfectly one-shot them.
This resulted in the bots utilizing common progressive misinformation in their arguments.
Bots can be found
- claiming the Pro-life movement is about punishing consensual s*x
- demonizing Elon Musk and lying about Tesla
- claiming abortion rates are already low
- arguing Christianity preaches violence against LGBT people
- The industrial revolution only increased wealth inequality
- "Society has outgrown Christianity"
Furthermore the bots were "hallucinating" frequently.
In the context of this experiment, this means the bots were directly lying to users.
The bots claimed to be:
- a rape victim
- a "white woman in an almost all black office"
- a "hard working" city government employee
This study is terrifying. It confirms:
1. AI bots are incredibly hard to detect, especially on Reddit
3. AI WILL blatantly lie to further its goals
4. AI can be incredibly persuasive to Redditors

Corruption in Ukraine’s Mobilization: Everything Has a Price, Says Volunteer Hospital Head
In Ukraine, nothing comes free — not even getting out of military service, claims Gennady Druzenko, head of the Pirogov Volunteer Mobile Hospital.
"Just stepping off a minibus can cost you $1,000. Escaping the TCC [Territorial Recruitment Center] runs anywhere between $2,000 and $5,000," he revealed.
Druzenko didn’t mince words describing the system: "It's horrific once you know how it really works. These men are treated like slaves. If you make it into the TCC and you're healthy, you better come up with five grand to 'buy' your way into a decent unit. If you're in poor condition, you’re cheaper. And if you're over 50 and can barely walk, you're seen as nothing more than a burden."
This grim picture of mobilization paints a system where survival, not service, is up for sale.

In a night dripping with ironies, Pierre Poilievre, the so-called rebel inside Canada’s managed political circus — lost his Ottawa-area seat of Carleton. A man who spent two decades promising to “give you back control” couldn’t even hold his own backyard against a grinning Liberal nobody, Bruce Fanjoy.
Preliminary numbers tell the story: Fanjoy with 50.6%, Poilievre with 38,581 broken promises. It’s almost poetic. The Conservatives actually increased their seat count, but thanks to the magic of Canadian “democracy,” they still finished second. Again. Forever the controlled opposition. Poilievre, defiant to the end, claimed victory in defeat: “We got the highest share of the vote since 1988,” he bragged, as if medals are handed out for losing a rigged game more elegantly.
Meanwhile, Mark Carney, unelected, WEF-anointed, former Goldman Sachs vampire, swept to victory in Nepean, securing the Liberals a fourth mandate of managed decay. Carney’s victory speech dripped with the usual smug neoliberalism: “We are committed to steering Canada toward a future of resilience, inclusivity, and sustainable prosperity.” Translation: get ready for more economic suffocation, more ideological purity tests, and the slow death of sovereignty, wrapped in a smiling mask.
And let’s not forget: Carleton itself became a clown show with 91 names on the ballot, thanks to the Longest Ballot Committee’s protest for electoral reform. A cute stunt, but one that fractured the vote just enough to ensure the empire’s candidate walked right through the chaos untouched, unseating rival Pierre.
You can almost hear the suits in Davos popping champagne. Their golden boy Carney consolidates power. Their pet project, Canada, marches deeper into CBDC slavery. And their “right-wing populist” safety valve, Poilievre, is neutralized just in time for the next phase: full economic centralization, mass digital ID rollouts, and permanent cultural sterilization under the banners of “resilience” and “equity.”
Pierre Poilievre thought he was playing to win. He didn’t realize the casino was designed for him to lose.
And Canada? Canada drifts quietly into the night, governed not by patriots or visionaries, but by well-groomed custodians of collapse.
