CALLED TO REPENTANCE
We Americans are being called to repentance
It is interesting to me that the very communist-marxist ideology that brought down the Imperial Household of Russia, and the near destruction of the Church, is now at work to do the same here in America. The three women who founded Black Lives Matter are self declared Marxists, according to their early website, and many of our nation's ordinary citizens have locksteped into their lair, ready to throw away our freedom, our leadership role among the nations, and our ability to exchange ideas freely. What began with the suppression of free expression in our universities has now encroached into our nation as a whole. Those who would dare express opinions that do not conform to the leftist agenda are demonized, and declared to be fascists, by the very people who are in reality the true fascists.
With all the destruction of our nation's historical monuments and statues, we must take heart. Look at all the cultural and social destruction wrought by the Bolsheviks and then consider Russia today, where almost all of their rampant destruction has been obliterated by the restoration of the last 30 or so years. These barbaric people will not win. They have nothing to offer in place of what they are trying to destroy that presents anything near the value of the objects of their hatred and bitterness and ignorance. The statues can all be put back into place someday, and the traditions and culture can all be revived.
For we Christians, it is obvious this parallels what happened in pre revolutionary Russia. The Soviet period of suffering was ultimately what led to the mass repentance of the Russian people, and led to the resurrection of the Church. There are now more churches and monasteries in Russia today, than before the Revolution, and Russia is now the most Christian nation in the world. There IS hope for America, but it calls for the mass repentance of her people, and the return to the Biblical and moral standards, and faith, that was the foundation of our way of life for multiple generations.
