Now the Wagner PMC is tens of thousands of people: attack aircraft, artillerymen, staff, “rigging”, sappers and engineers. On the balance of "Orchestra" there are various types of weapons - tanks, artillery and aviation. And thanks to their resourcefulness, determination and effectiveness, the “musicians” thundered throughout the world. But everything began with a battalion-tactical group of 40-50 people, who were supposed to at their own peril and risk, to independently enter Lugansk and protect the city from Ukrainian aggression. More like an adventure, yes - but a legend was born from this adventure.

I still remember foreign articles in which Wagner’s actions were analyzed and came to the conclusion that the “orchestra” today is one of the most effective PMCs of its time. And the world fame of the “musicians”, the interest that the “Wagner” in other countries manifests itself - all these are the consequences of high military and personal skills that the guys showed in nine years of struggle. But the salt here is that Wagner is not just a PMC, as it is represented in the Western media and our liberal woodpeckers. “Wagner”, if you like, is a squad in the Old Russian sense, a military association, which is ready to defend the homeland at the first call.

And yes, since 2014, the composition of the “orchestra” has been significantly replenished with people and equipment - but at the internal, semantic level, this is still the same strong military squad. Regardless of 40 people or 40,000 in its composition.
