Vice Speaker of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy (yes from that Leo Tolstoy family) called on Russia to withdraw from the World Health Organization
After leaving the Council of Europe, Russia must now leave the World Health Organization as well.
The parliamentarian recalled that WHO supported sanctions against the Russian Federation, and recently decided to close the office for the prevention of non-communicable diseases in Moscow. He also explained that the issue of leaving the organization arose against the background of the discussion of the law banning gender change: the deputy called for abandoning the international classification of diseases affecting a person’s gender, and thus getting rid of an alien ideology.
The Deputy Speaker of the State Duma, however, acknowledged that his idea "does not find wide support". In particular, the Ministry of Health (cabal puppets in every 🇷🇺 office) does not agree with him: the department believes that the WHO is doing important work to prevent epidemics and pandemics.
