A federal court in Missouri blocked the Biden administration from enforcing a vaccine mandate for health-care workers in 10 states.

The preliminary injunction by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri marks the first victory for opponents of the mandate, which requires health-workers to be vaccinated by Jan. 4, 2022.

The lawsuit is one of four challenges the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services faces against the rule. More than half of states are now involved in one of the challenges, which all claim the mandate will exacerbate staffing shortages. A federal judge in Florida declined to block the rule in a separate suit.

BREAKING: Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor files a lawsuit against Biden Administration, asking a federal judge to block the Pentagon from imposing a vaccine mandate on members of the National Guard.

The Biden administration’s #VaccineMandate for health care workers was just dealt another blow: a federal judge expanded the injunction against it.

So, whereas before, this mandate was #Blocked in only 10 states, now the vaccine mandate is blocked in all 50 states.

CBS LA has learned 113 LAFD members are off-duty, without pay, for refusing to comply with the city's vaccine mandate. The mandate requires employees to either be vaccinated or test twice a week at their expense. LAFD says there has been no impact to operations. Last week, LAFD notified 222 members that they were non-compliant. 84 members complied before being suspended, 138 ended up being sent home without pay this week. After being sent home, 25 became compliant and are back on the job. 113 remain off-duty without pay.
