در سال 1988، دولت ایالات متحده میخواست استحکام بتن مسلح مورد استفاده در راکتورهای هسته ای را آزمایش کند.
برای انجام این کار، آنها یک جنگنده F-4 فانتوم را با سرعت 800 کیلومتر در ساعت به داخل صفحه پرتاب کردند.
هواپیما به طور کامل نابود شد و بتن مورد نظر فقط کمی خراشیده شد.

Breccia is a rock formed from angular gravel and boulder-sized clasts cemented together in a matrix. The angular nature of the clasts indicates that they have not been transported very far from their source. There are several modes of formation for breccia.

A PhD position is now open at University Gustave Eiffel, on “Tunnelling in urban areas: improvement of numerical simulations using hollow cylinder tests”.
This thesis work will be based on interactions with the rest of the ANR E-Pilot project
(whose program includes centrifuge modeling, experimentation and in-situ
instrumentation) and on the results obtained during the TULIP project.
