In Moscow the average share of mothers of foreign origin was 48.8%, and fathers — 41.0%. A similar situation was observed in the Northwestern Federal District (NWFD) — during the same period (2023) in St. Petersburg, migrant mothers accounted for an average of 55.1%, and fathers for 54.6% compared to the rest of the district, according to a study by researchers from the Federal Research Sociological Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FNISC RAS).
