🇫🇷 - It is with great sorrow and compassion to the French people that GIW is reporting that a car crashed into a celebrating crowd in Grenoble, resulting in multiple... mmm... let's say critical injuries (rumors on the ground talks about fatalities) including a Young woman. There are videos online which look like snuffs but out of respect we won't post them.

🇫🇷 - Few thoughts: yesterday I was privately arguing with people about how the fact the result of the match would be obvious gave the people who had the intention to fight the police a huge lead time to prepare themselves. Furthermore, I would note that the police maybe started using tear gas too early, notably before the match was even over.

Imo, this was a surprising failure by French security forces, and while tomorrow morning France will wake up as if nothing happened, I do wonder if this is the kind of display the police needs to show in a context, in France, that is always prompt to have "episodes".
