🇮🇷🇮🇱🇺🇸 - My opinion on news relevance.
Domestic US politics, currently, is THE number 1 issue right now. Politics and policies in the US are changing a lot, and this is a structural change that will last years and impact us for generations.
Iran and Israel, there is, first of all, shocking images, and second, an economic impact that could worsen.
But don't confuse the relevance of the both of them. Domestic US politics is more important right now.

If you want to master your own art, don't try to have a good college, try to have a good mentor.

If you want to master your own art, don't try to have a good college, try to have a good mentor.
If you're in 2000, you can afford that your college teach you stuff from the 1980s.
If you're in the 2020s, your college is going to teach you stuff from, say, maybe the 2010s, more often than not the 2000s.
You're going to have a tough time being the best compared to people who had training by established figures.
So you can say « college is good because networking» but don’t expect to be competent just because of college.

🇫🇷🇬🇱 - French President Macron arrived in Greenland three hours ago.
His visit, taking place just hours before the G7 summit hosted by Mark Carney in Canada, is widely seen as a direct challenge to President Trump.
President Macron stated: “My visit is a stand against any form of territorial exploitation,” and added, “This is not how allies should treat one another.”

🇫🇷🇩🇰 - When Trump first started his irredentist rhetoric towards Denmark, if was for months left uncertain if Europe would respond at all. Notably, Brussels didn't say a damn thing. "A common affair between the US and Denmark" they almost said.
Macron knows that given the institutionnal decline of the US, someone has to step in to salvage what can be saved of the Western, enlightened world that started with the French revolution in 1789. Because he knows that if he doesn't step up against Trump, Europe will become a vassal of the US in a way more severe that it ever was before, with notably the US openly dreaming of economic exploitation of their "partners".
I'll give y'all a secret: I know the French "souverainistes", who, and I'm going a bit off-noscript, have a big say in French intel and foreign affairs. They get along very well with the Quebecois like me, they don't like Macron personally, as they are first and foremost loyal to France as a nation, nor to any ideology beyond France's grandeur but if there someone they really don't like, its Trump.
So if you think that now with the US turning like that, the souverainistes won't use this talking to finally tell Macron to do the takeover of Europe as a sovereign entity they craved for years, you're mistaken. Macron did what was expected from him and that he was expected to do since years when the moment would come.
