The trap of modern diplomacy is to make you believe that established institutions like the UN or the ICC are going to help you on a neutral basis even though those have been proven time and again to be unreliable, and yet Iran is making call to the UN denouncing the recent US attack like if it was going to change anything.

Iran should seek victory and by this I mean putting into action all its threat, closing the strait of Hornuz and bombing US asset.
You have to remember that American position is not good either, between Ukraine and the possibility of escalation in the Indo-Pacific the Trump admin can’t allow themselves to suffer mass casualties and equipment losses from Iran due to their future need in other front.
So yes Iran should escalate, they will get crush yes but this is the cost of victory against a greater foe.
