🇸🇾 - A new Druze armed group announces to join the Military Council in As-Suwayda.
🇸🇾 - Admin's perspective on the massacres in Syria.

It is striking how civilian victims come from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds: Alawites (Shia), Kurds (Sunni), Armenians (Orthodox), Lebanese Maronites, as well as other Christian and Muslim sects. This alone proves that minorities in Syria remain unsafe.

According to Wikipedia, Latakia had a population of around 709,000 as of 2023. In 2010, the Armenian population there was estimated at 3,500. When an Armenian father and son are killed, it is not accidental—it is targeted.

Yes, it is undeniable that the initial gunfight should never have started (because everyone knew that retaliation would follow), but extrajudicial executions and the deliberate targeting of minorities are inexcusable.

History will remember that while the Russians opened their bases, the U.S. and other Western "democracies" remained silent. This serves as a reminder that while high-ranking politicians may fail, the soldier on the ground always has the choice to act with integrity.

If the authorities in Damascus fail to take decisive action against these executions, it signals their tolerance of such crimes. Arresting "extremist elements" only after they have massacred families is meaningless. The world is well aware of the kind of individuals that make up certain "security" forces—they must be removed before more atrocities occur.

On a sidenote: we frequently receive criticism in the comments regarding how we present, qualify, or portray people, actions, and events.

First and foremost, we are a media aggregation channel. Our mission is to scan thousands of sources, filter the most relevant news, and share them with you. We do not create the news—we report it.

When it comes to Syria, we often hear accusations like "You are pro-X" or "You are pro-Y." The challenge with conflicts like this is that Arabic media outlets tend to carry strong biases, favoring specific people or organizations. The language they use reflects their allegiances.

For instance, some media refer to certain groups as "regime remnants", others as "pro-Assad", "ex-pro-Assad", "anti-government forces", "resistance", or "insurgents". The same people can be labeled in completely different ways depending on the perspective of the outlet reporting the news. In the end, some people will never be satisfied.

This presents a challenge for us, as our goal is to report events without distortion. While no one is entirely free from bias, we strive to present the news as objectively as possible, without adopting the political agendas embedded in media narratives.

🇸🇾🇪🇺 - European Union states:
We condemn the attacks that were said to be loyal to Assad on the government forces on the Syrian coast.

Civilians in all circumstances must be protected with full respect for international humanitarian law.

We call on all external parties to respect Syria's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.

We condemn any attempts to destabilize and undermine the comprehensive peaceful transition in Syria.
Hey folks.

I saw the events in Kursk and the events in Syria.

To me, its sad to see that Jolani, who did such great steps to enhance his govt's international standing, would lower himself to this bullshit.

However, this is inherent to Jolani's worldview. He is an ultra-conservative. The guy uses weapons from the 1980s (OK apart from maybe the drones) to carry out an agenda dating back from Baghdad in 1200s.

These are the kind of views that hold very skeptical opinion on diversity. In those views, diversity is tolerated from a utilitarian standpoint, not cherished or even simply tolerated as a principle.

Furthermore, in those kind of views, even if the leader himself may be moderate and speak to the civilized world from a grand standpoint, his troops will never be held for account.

This is sad, and this is why a good friend of mine, who will recognize himself, worked so hard to evacuate Christians from Aleppo when the city fell. At first we thought it was a severe decision, now we see why he did it

"This minority did a dictatorship for a gonzillion of years so we can just genocide it"

Then in Rwanda it is "the majority won't let us alone... let's rule the country alone except of simply having strong institutions!"

If only people would obey democracy, the only CIVILIZED political regime.
