🇨🇦🇸🇾 Canada’s Special Envoy for Syria, Omar Alghabra:

I’ve spent the last several weeks engaging with our partners, members of civil society, regional experts, and Syrian Canadians. This is a critical and delicate moment for Syria and Syrians.

Canada can play a meaningful role in enabling Syrians to build an inclusive country that respects all of its citizens. We also can help prevent Syria from falling into chaos and instability.

Today’s announcement is a response to the needs of Syrians and Syrian civil society. I am optimistic about Syrians’ ability to chart a bright future for all Syrians.

From internal rumors and sources, looks like russian diplomats aren't super keen on accepting the deal as is.

With their decisive victories in the Kursk region, they're expected to either delay a decision or ask for more favorable terms

🇦🇲🇦🇿 - #BREAKING Armenia and Azerbaijan have reportedly agreed on the terms of a historic peace deal, after over three decades of bitter conflict.

The agreement includes "major concessions" from Armenia: removal of EU monitors from the border and the dropping of international lawsuits.

Enclave issues were not discussed, nor was Azerbaijan’s demand for a corridor through Armenia connecting Azerbaijan to its enclave of Nakhchivan and changes to the Armenian constitution.

This follows the removal of Daniel Davis, Tulsi Gabbard's choice for deputy DNI, from consideration earlier this week. Davis had mildly criticized Israel over the course of his career. Apparently Israel has veto power over all American political appointees. America First!
