🇷🇺 - "Russia will expand in all directions, as far as God wills" – Putin's ex-adviser (2012-2020) Vladislav Surkov in an interview with L’Express
"At one time, I elevated to the level of official ideology the concept of the 'Russian World' (russkij mir - русский мир), which had previously existed in philosophical circles. The Russian World has no borders. The Russian World exists wherever Russia’s cultural, informational, military, economic, ideological, and humanitarian influence extends to some degree. That means on all continents.
The concentration of our influence varies greatly in different regions, but it is never zero anywhere. So we will expand in all directions—as far as God allows and as far as our resources permit. The key is not to overextend ourselves, not to seize a trophy so heavy that we cannot carry it."

🇨🇿🇺🇦 - Will the Czech Republic allow Ukrainian refugees to stay in the country after the war?
Around 400,000 refugees from Ukraine currently reside in the Czech Republic, having received temporary protection due to the war. In light of a potential end to hostilities, Prague has begun drafting a plan for temporary refugees in case the war concludes.
According to Czech media, the government passed a law yesterday allowing certain Ukrainians to remain in the country even after the war ends.
To obtain a residence permit in the Czech Republic, a Ukrainian must earn at least 37,000 CZK per month—slightly below the national average salary of 46,000 CZK—not receive humanitarian benefits since at least July 2024, and must not have committed any crimes while staying in the country.
Additionally, for each Ukrainian child, the parent's salary requirement increases by 110,000 CZK per year. For example, a mother with two children would need to earn 55,500 CZK per month—20% above the average salary in the Czech Republic.
In theory, Ukrainians are being allowed to stay in the Czech Republic, but in practice, most refugees will be unable to meet these requirements and obtain a residence permit.
As a result, the 400,000 "Czech" Ukrainians may soon have to follow the well-known Maidan chant: "Suitcase, train station...". But where exactly they will go remains unclear.
The first option is Ukraine. However, after living in the EU for several years, they are unlikely to want to return to post-war poverty.
The second option is Poland. But although Poland currently accepts all Ukrainians without restrictions, anti-migrant sentiment is rising there, which may lead Warsaw to follow Prague’s example and introduce similar restrictions on migrants.

Of course, the reason for this meddling as Lecornu tells us, is because he thinks Russia “will meddle” in Romania’s elections so France must, therefore, do it first and prevent the Russians from meddling.
Lecornu also adds that the French garrison at the Cincu military base is a “guarantee” to democracy Romania.

🇧🇦🇪🇺 - The decisive factor will be whether a clear strategy is drawn up in Brussels for the days and weeks ahead, particularly within the European External Action Service. Some say the EU must finally help the Bosnian constitutional state; and there's the appeasement faction within the EU that still believes it can contain Dodik with some sort of agreement.
