YouTube will now automatically show ads after peaks. They expect it will significantly improve revenue. We expect it will destroy retention.

They also announced that previous practice when ads were shown during speech will be eliminated and the algorithm will always aim for a break or scene switching.

Apple is freaking out after their payments became legally optional in Europe and North America. They are losing billions every month on third party services with lower fees.

To counter that they are now showing this glorious WARNING to scare off the casual audience from using apps who implemented external payment systems.

Not anymore: Warzone Mobile is discontinued — the game failed commercially. Most of the disappointment is related to the IW9 game engine, which is too heavy for an average mobile device.

A few years ago the same issues forced EA to shut down Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile. Games looked gorgeous and felt superb, but only a fraction of users was able to play for at least 30 minutes in a row without burning their smartphones.

Same as usual, I played on Red Magic gaming phone with active cooling and shoulder triggers.

UPD: Dead Island 2 is meh. It feels synthetic at every corner, like a game that was made by a team of college students from California, who once played Dying Light.

And haven't played the original Dead Island, only watched the trailer or smth.

NVIDIA only allowed RTX 5060 to be tested in 5 games, only with x3 frame generation in 1080p. And only if the review compares it to RTX 3060 and RTX 2060 Super, not all the cards.

The limitations are set via the special driver and some funky deal between NVIDIA and reviewers. This is why you may not expect real reviews to come out early enough, they found a few fake reviews instead!
