Can you imagine Horizon Zero Dawn, made by a tiny studio under XBox and told by a Halo writer?

I finally reached the long-forgotten ReCore, which runs well on basically anything and require no MS account.

It goes for like $3 on every major sale and is very minimalistic by modern standards. It's hard to believe that it has been released later than The Witcher 3 and only a year before HZD.

And you can find the artbook here: https://archive.org/details/the-art-of-re-core/

Tron: Ares is getting mixed feedback, which already happened with every previous Tron movie, so I'm not surprised.

It's also failing at the box office: the movie only earned $14.3m during the opening day, when Legacy got $17.5m back in 2010. And it was still considered a failure with a similar budget in mind.

But the plot actually feels good and oddly realistic with some modern references, influencers, and creepy big tech CEOs.

And you can enjoy stunning visuals with amazing sound (same as usual for the Tron franchise). I hoped for more Tron Legacy references, though.

Build A Rocket Boy workers and ex-workers are blaming senior management (Mark Gerhard and Leslie Benzies) and their denial of feedback in the failed Mindseye release.

And in what happened after that too: apparently, redundancies were made in a very poor manner and not always in line with law.

A couple of times I wanted to apply for several roles in Build a Rocket Boy. And each time I skipped the idea:

I asked the team about their UGC platform and then about the game when it showed up. It wasn't convincing at all. I've seen Core gaming platform struggles, then UEFN rough start. And there was just no market for Everywhere.

Which means: they wasted years of work into nothing and making a game on top of that was a bad solution. But it allowed them to cover up the issue for an extra 2-3 years.

And people I know who were there told me "no, just don't". So I've no idea why someone believed it would be a GTA competitor.
